Moscow: general information

Moscow aka Moskva is capital of Russian Federation. It's located in central distinct and on January, 1 2010 its population was 10,562,099.

Moscow is even crazier and noisier than NYC. There are millions of people working, studing and visiting.
Since all the business in Russia is in such bug cities as Moscow and St Petersburg are, most of the people from all the country and ex-USSR republics try to move there.
Moscow is business and industry center of Russia, Saint Petersburg is more european and culture center.
In Moscow one may find any religion: from orthodox christians to muslims and even Hare Krishnas.
It's East and West together: eastern bazars and european boutiques, lots of cultures are mixed .
You may find Japanese, American, Deutch, Israeli and other cultural centers. Most of the time there are free classes and lectures.
Also most of the big companies offices are in Moscow: Intel, Google, Microsoft, Cisco, ABBYY, Kaspersky, Parallels, Pfizer and others.

Attn.: most of social workers (subway tkt sellers, policemen (milicia)) don't know english!
